Del cuarto de los trebejos...

Esto lo escribió el buen inglés Fraile Kyle Kempis, quien asistiera al concierto de Def Leppard hace ya algunas lunas, en el 2005... se los dejo para su disfrute.

Pour Some Sugar on Monterrey

By Kempis

One of the most iconic rock bands of the 80´s makes their third appearance in these hotlands of Monterrey. Def Leppard, the rock group from the industrial city of Sheffield,England came in1993 and 1997 and now they will be presenting their Fall Tour 2005 the next November 19th in the Arena Monterrey.

The first presentation of this group was in Christmas of 1977 where singer Joe Elliot, bassist Rick Savage, guitarist Pete Willis and drummer Tony Kenning played six songs, including covers from Thin Lizzy and David Bowie in front of six friends. The original name was Deaf Leopard, created by Elliot in school in 1975.

This was the beginning of a very fruitful career that is still valid even today, new talent came to the band like guitarist Steve Clark, drummer Rick Allen, guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell but with the success tragedy came too like the car crash that amputated Allen´s left arm in 1984 or Clark´s death in 1991.

Even so, this group managed to create the most anthemic songs in the 80´s rock circuit like “Photograph”, “Rock Of Ages”, “Pour Some Sugar On Me”, “Armageddon
It”, “Hysteria”, “Love Bites”, “Rocket”, “Animal”, “Let´s Get Rocked”, “Make Love
Like A Man” and much, much more. Thanks to their music the quintet has an entire
army of fans around the planet that follow their steps.

So, if you grew up in those years listening to that music, had long hair, wore ragged
T-Shirts and beat-up jeans and dreamed of being a rock star and even tried to make a
rock group this is a great opportunity to lean back, close your eyes, travel through time, enjoy the music, remember that long-gone era and rock, rock till you drop!

¿Do you wanna get rocked?
